Meet The Team

The Architecture Office has been founded in Hong Kong with the idea of offering a complete and thoughtful design, from architectural and interior concept design to the project management and site coordination. Now we have offices and partners in Dubai, Bali, Madrid, London and New York.

It is our belief that the best strategic design solutions are based on the best ideas which add value to the project.

Thanks to our Team of professionals from different expertise and backgrounds (Architects, Interior Designers, Structural Engineers, Artist and BIM Experts) we can lead any project to a wider range of creative solutions and suggestion, achieving the highest standards possible and the strongest critical approach.

Jorge Beneitez.

Co-Founder & Managing Director.

He lived in Spain and Morocco before studying at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ETSAM) where he received his Master Degree in Architecture, Construction and Urban Planning.

After several years of working at different international offices and as freelance architect in Spain and overseas, he moved to Hong Kong chasing new methodologies, learning new software and techniques to found a firm where productive workflow and quality design are the key factor.

In Hong Kong he got specialised in Building Information Modelling (BIM Technologies) getting his certificate as Registered BIM Consultant by Graphisoft (ArchiCAD).

Eugenio Fontan.

Co-Founder & BIM Director.

He lived in Madrid, Milan, Lisbon, Edinburgh and Hong Kong.

He studied at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ETSAM) where he received his Master Degree in Architecture, Construction and Urban Planning.

He worked in several offices in Spain and Portugal and also as Freelance collaborating with offices in Europe. After he moved to Hong Kong in 2013, he participated in numerous projects at PRC and Hong Kong. In 2015 he coordinated the development at one of the main Masterplans in Dubai, UAE.

Also Registered BIM Consultant by Graphisoft, with experience in those international projects and his 10 years of BIM user.

Jorge Gil

Lead Designer & Business Development Asia.

He lived in Madrid, Turin and London before moving to Hong Kong in 2012.

He has a Master Degree of Architecture (M.ARCH) and became Registered Architect in Spain 2011  as well as Member of the Architects Registration Board of United Kingdom |ARB

He worked for several architectural practices in Spain having abroad experience in design as well as in project development. During his period at Hong Kong he worked as lead designer for international firms ( ICE, DCM Studios, + ) developing projects and competitions all over Asia and specially in PRC and Vietnam.

In 2015, His passion and enthusiasm for outdoor sports, cultures and new methods to create architecture, made him open the enzyme apd Bali branch.

Raffaella Bernasconi

Senior Interior Designer.

She Graduated in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano in 2003, and has now more than 15 years of work experience.

Between 2001 and 2003, she worked in the Architecture studio Serena Anibaldi, collaborating with the development of interior design projects for luxury flats, boutiques and sailing boats.

In 2005, she founded the architecture studio B&B in Milan with Carlo Bernasconi, Architect, working in particular on interior design projects for multi-brand stores abroad (Russia). In 2009, she opened her own Architecture studio in Como, pursuing interior design projects of flats, shops and public spaces both in Italy and abroad.

Prior joining Enzyme in 2015, she worked in DOID (Debora Oppenheimer Studio) where she developed high end interior Design Projects in Hong Kong and all around Asia.

Matteo Biasiolo.

Associate Architect & Business Development USA.

Graduated in Architecture at Milan’s Polytechnic in 2010. Registered Architect in Italy since 2012.

He worked for the Italian firm “OnSite Architecture” developing mainly cultural and residential high quality projects and also some collaborations with non profit associations in Senegal.

In 2012, he arrived in Hong Kong fascinated about the urban complexity, working for ICE as team leader architect to develop projects in RPC, Vietnam and Hong Kong.

In 2013 he moved to Tokyo, where he collaborated with Sou Fujimoto Office developing international projects. One year after, he moved to New York and worked for BAM Design, Space4architecture and also founded OCD Architecture in partnership with Tim Bacheller.

From 2015 he’s also Associate Director of enzyme apd, managing the NYC branch.

Antonio Torres

Associate Architect & Business Development  Europe.

He has lived in Madrid, Krakow and Hong Kong, before moving to London in 2014.

He obtained his Master Degree of Architecture (M.ARCH) in 2011 from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV), and became Registered Architect in Spain as well as Member of the Architects Registration Board of United Kingdom |ARB

He worked for several international architectural practices, having abroad experience in design as well as in BIM project management. During his period at Hong Kong he worked as BIM Architect for DNL Architects, managing projects all over Asia, specially in Hong Kong and Macau.

In 2016, and after the expertise gained in the retail field while working at ACME in the United kingdom, he started managing the enzyme apd London branch.

Ausias Gonzalez.

PhD Architect & Structural Consultant.

He was awarded his International Ph.D in Architecture in 2016 from the ETSAM with the thesis: From Empiricism to Invention, Engineering and Design in Modern Architecture. During his doctoral studies he spent one year at the IUAV in Venice as well as the Università degli Studi of Trieste. His thesis explores the relationship between resistant and formal structure in architecture.

In fact he also has a Master´s Degree in Building Structures since 2012 and obtained his Master’s Degree in Architecture in 2010.

He has been collaborating since 2003 with different Architects in Spain, this wide experience acquainted him with all of the facets of architecture, design, planning, and construction terms, Becoming in 2014, the principal structural consultant for enzyme apd. He speaks Spanish, English, Italian, French and German.
